Bringing your own IP space
If you hold your own address space, we announce it for you. Your customers stay on your addresses and you are never tied to us by an address plan.
What we need from you
- The prefixes you want announced, IPv4 or IPv6.
- A letter of authorisation — written permission from the holder of the space, so we can show we are allowed to announce it.
- Your registry objects in order: the route objects, and a ROA authorising our announcement, so networks validating RPKI accept it.
Not sure what half of that means? Send us what you have and we walk you through the rest. It is a routine request here.
How long it takes
Once the paperwork and the registry objects are right, announcing it is quick. The waiting is usually in the registry, not with us.
Why resellers do this
Because it makes you independent. Your customers sit on your addresses, so moving capacity between suppliers — or away from us — does not force every one of them to renumber. We would rather keep you because the service is good than because leaving is painful. See resellers.
No space of your own yet?
Then you use ours and you can still move later. For IPv6 there is no shortage; for IPv4 tell us what you need the addresses for, because we have to justify assignments to the registry.
